Under the high patronage of H. H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak (Mother of Emirates), Chairwoman of the General Women’s union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood hosts the experts advisory meeting on “Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent health :a Priority for life-saving in Humanitarian Settings”. This advisory meeting is to be held on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at the Yas Viceroy hotel - Abu Dhabi, and will continue for (2) days.

This advisory meeting is presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah Zeid of Jordan, Spouse of the Prince Zeid bin Ra’ad, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. The meeting includes a number of experts of various UN agencies as well as a host of non-governmental organizations. It is organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in association with international organizations concerned with health related issues, which is United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO) and World Bank.

This advisory meeting aims to discuss the challenges facing mothers, newborn and adolescents under harsh conditions and during disputes, which will be included in the UN Secretary General’s Every Woman Every Child Global Strategy.

At the end of the meeting, there is to be a sideline meeting with media men at which HRH Princess Sarah Zeid and Kate Gilmore, the Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director (Programme) of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and H. E. Reem Abdullah Al Falasi, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood talked.
