The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood organizes brainstorming session
The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood has noted dozens of constructive social ideas and initiatives, during a brainstorming session that was held at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a group of students, children and their parents.
In a statement following the session, Rym Al Falasy - Secretary General of The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood - said that the session was implemented as per the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak - Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood - to take care of children and youth and help them overcome the obstacles they face.
She highlighted that the Mother of the Nation is seeking to strengthen the concept of giving as an approach that should be adopted by all segments of the community, especially children and youth in the #Year of Giving. The initiative is considered a message of love, tolerance and development sent by the UAE’s people and leadership to the region and the entire world. She said that this is considered a social responsibility, to contribute to promoting the unity of the community.
Al Falasy emphasized that the children’s initiative and ideas from the brainstorming session were very interesting and worth studying, adding that these ideas consisted of six areas to make life better, including religious, ethical, cultural, volunteer, environmental and health advice.
The session witnessed great interactions between youth and students, raising dozens of initiatives and ideas that covered the six pillars of corporate social responsibility, partnerships between the government and the private sector, volunteering, the development of the role of humanitarian organizations and the media and their community role, as well as the development of a legislative system and government policies related to the goals of the Year of Giving, the Secretary General continued.
This session has invoked an understanding of social responsibility within all segments of society, to fulfil their roles in serving the nation and contribute to its journey of development, as well as promote the value of volunteering and specialized programmes that enabled various segments of society to provide real services to the UAE society, Al Falasy concluded.
