Start of the «Programmer Week»

The General Women's Union, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, launched a special training program called "The Little Programmer" in the framework of the National Childhood Initiative launched in 2016. The program targets children from 8 to 12 years of age, Daily practices.



The program, which was launched yesterday in collaboration with the Imperial College London Diabetes Center, trains children to develop problem-solving skills and develop logical thinking and creative analysis to create intelligent applications.



Instructions



HE Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Women's Union, said that this program comes under the guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, the Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. The program will be implemented in cooperation with strategic partners such as the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority And the Emirates Digital Society for Women's Support and Women's Associations in the UAE.



She explained that the program is in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership in the country and stems from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima's keenness on building the human capacities of women, children and young people, enabling them to acquire knowledge, encourage innovation, research and development and connect it with modern technologies. The "Digital Baby" campaign, which was distributed this year to all emirates to translate the vision of the state to achieve sustainable development and build a knowledge-based knowledge economy, will contribute to spreading e-culture and highlighting the importance of technology in the future industry. Awareness programs and summer programs, lectures and training workshops to qualify students and provide them with skills and sensitize parents to the dangers on the Internet.

HE Al Reem Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, said that through this campaign, parents will be integrated into the process of capacity building and focus on developing problem solving skills, logic and creativity to create a creative generation capable of creating innovative solutions for future issues. She said that the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak always calls for caring for children and bringing them knowledge science, especially the issues of innovation, computer and computer applications.
