And attention to all issues affecting childhood. It stresses that the lack of awareness and knowledge among members of society and the different cultures are among the most important challenges facing the child.

The Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood has prepared a National Strategy for Motherhood & Childhood - the first of its kind in the field of maternal and child health, said Al Rym Al Falasy in an interview with Al-Ittihad, under the guidance and follow-up of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, In the country - and aims to have all children in the state the right to survival, development, protection and participation so that they can grow healthy and physically healthy, and be able to learn, and consciously aware, and emotionally secure, and confident of themselves and social actors, through Fair and policies, legislation and programs necessary to create a safe and supportive environment and services.

In addition, the Council works to promote awareness of the rights of the child and the principles of his care and protection by dealing with the media in the country, with a focus on the rights of the child in the United Arab Emirates through the organization of training courses in this field.

On the other hand, the Council, in collaboration with UNICEF, has prepared an Executive Action Plan for Action Priorities for the Development and Integration of Children with Special Needs, including their integration into regular schools and improvement of existing systems through the implementation of relevant international best practices. The project is being implemented with ministries and organizations concerned with children with special needs in the country.

Al Falasy stressed that the council aims to raise the level of care, protection, participation and empowerment of mother and child affairs and provide support and support for children in all fields, especially educational, cultural, health, social, psychological and educational.

The other roles of the Council for Child Protection are to propose developmental policies in the field of childhood, to follow up and evaluate development plans for sustainable welfare, to promote studies and research, to disseminate comprehensive cultures of children and recommendations, and to propose amendments to legislation and laws on children's issues for sustainable development.

The Supreme Council is also concerned with the protection of the rights of the child in cooperation and coordination with a number of neutral and global institutions and institutions. The programs have an effective and long-term impact in finding appropriate solutions to children's issues and ensuring the protection and provision of all forms of basic care. In fact, we at the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood ensure that all the programs that we undertake for the service of children stem from the real need for such programs and rely on the data of studies and surveys conducted on samples of the community.

In this regard, the training course for social workers involved in the protection of children in difficult circumstances in and outside the care institutions, organized by the Higher Council for Motherhood & Childhood over the last three days, has contributed to improving the capabilities of social workers in dealing with children suffering from conditions Such as victims of violence and abuse, uneducated and deprived of family care, victims of human trafficking, as well as juveniles in conflict with the law.

Other programs organized by the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood recently included the training of school committees to prevent bullying, which included 24 different schools under the Ministry of Education and the Abu Dhabi Education Council, with the participation of teachers, social workers and administrators, as well as students and parents.

The training covered various topics, the most important of which is the definition of the bulimia and its types, the signs of the child's exposure to it, its effects, the reasons that may lead the students to participate in this behavior or the non-intervention in cases of bullying and just watching, with her.

"The Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood works alongside many institutions, organizations and bodies concerned with children, locally and internationally, in order to achieve its objectives of raising the level of care, care and follow-up on children's affairs, and supporting them in all fields, Health, social, psychological and educational development, strengthening the safety and security of the child, monitoring and evaluating development plans for the desired welfare, as well as promoting studies, research and dissemination of inclusive cultures of childhood.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is one of the world's most prominent partners. In addition, the Council works with a broad base of more than 40 local partners, institutions, institutions and research centers, led by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development.

The most important issues that the Supreme Council is interested in studying are child-related, which contribute to its development, a sound and sound upbringing to be a leading figure in the future. These issues include a wide spectrum of child-related themes that are in tune with the latest global trends in childhood, taking into account the specificity of the UAE community, its Arab and Islamic identity and its highly distinguished culture.

The Council conducts surveys and assessments of the child protection system, identifies gaps in protection policies, legislation and services, and identifies the needs, priorities and challenges that help decision makers in raising and strengthening national capacities to develop services in the area of child protection.

She pointed out that the challenges faced by children at the present time were many and varied and were due, inter alia, to the tremendous technological development, globalization and the entry of many new cultures, as well as to the great development of the family's economic life, after the father had previously been the sole breadwinner of the family

The first challenge is the lack of awareness and knowledge among large segments of society, especially parents, of how to properly nurture children. In this regard, many parents of children rely on the education and upbringing of their children in the same way they were born when they were children, using ineffective means, and may affect the future behavior and personality of the child such as reprimand, blame and even physical violence.

Recent studies have shown that the construction of a child's personality begins in the early months of life, because it is able to perceive the world around it, especially through parents.

The second challenge is that the UAE is a multi-cultural country that attracts many nationalities from different cultures, religions and languages from individuals looking for jobs and investing in a safe and promising environment.

Therefore, the upbringing of children may vary from one family to another, and many do not have enough awareness and knowledge to raise and protect children properly. We hear of cases in which children are victims of domestic or school violence or even by their friends.

The establishment of the Child's Office in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Head of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, The maximum protection for the child from birth until the age of eighteen. It works to protect all children without discrimination.

The third challenge may be the children themselves. Many children who need protection because of violence may not reveal the situations they are exposed to, perhaps because of fear of their parents or out of shame or the belief that this gives a bad impression of their personalities.

Hence, the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood is keen to train and prepare social workers in schools to identify, examine and recommend these cases to reduce their negative impact on the children themselves and their families.
