The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood celebrates Flag Day
In response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai (may God protect him), to raise the UAE flag in front of federal and local government buildings throughout the country. The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood participated in the celebrations of the UAE Flag Day, which coincides with the Anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State (may God protect him) assuming the reins of government in the UAE.
Her Excellency Rym bint Abdulla Al Falasy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, raised the state flag in front of the Council building in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of all the council’s employees, expressing on this occasion their pride in the UAE flag, stressing that this occasion embodies the highest meanings of belonging and loyalty to the homeland.
Secretary-General said that Flag Day has become one of the precious national occasions in which we, as the people of the Emirates, are keen to express the extent of our connection and pride in our country and our wise leadership. Raising all segments of society with all its components to the banner of our nation at one time represents a joint action to confirm that the state flag is the basic symbol and identity for members of society, citizens and residents of this country alike, to which all efforts are directed to preserve its position, protect its gains and preserve its capabilities.
