The Children's Advisory Council first meeting
The Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood held the first introductory meeting of the Children's Advisory Council at the Council's headquarters, headed by Rym bint Abdullah Al-Falasy, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood.
The Children's Advisory Council consists of 9 members from different emirates of the country, each of them represents one of the emirates, and among the participation 2 of people of determination.
The membership is represented by Wadima Jumaa Hamid Al Darmaki from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Salama Saif Khalifa Al Tunaiji from Umm Al Quwain, Rashid Khaled Al Suwaidi from the Emirate of Sharjah, Ghaith Muhammad Salem Al Ghafli from Abu Dhabi, Ibrahim Ayoub Al Shawarib from the Emirate of Ajman, Maryam Omar Al Hamli from the Emirate of Dubai and Haitham Mohammed Rashid Al Kindi from the Emirate of Fujairah And Aisha Nasser Al Ali from the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and Wadima Al Mansouri.
The Secretary General welcomed the members of the Children's Advisory Council and conveyed to them the greetings of H.H Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, Chair of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, who is keen on caring for our children.
Rym Al Falasy said that this meeting is of very great importance as it is the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates that is always the first to provide everything that benefits its citizens, especially children.
And she stressed the need for children to be keen to take advantage of these precious opportunities provided by the UAE, adhering to our values and morals that we were raised on, so that we can continue building our state and contribute to the development process in the country.
At the end of her speech, she thanked the members of the advisory board for their kind attention and acceptance of the invitation to attend this important meeting, which will be the start of further meetings later in the future.
The meeting discussed the goal behind the formation of the Children's Advisory Council, the process of formation and selection of children, and the role assigned to them by taking their opinion on topics and programs related to them.
A chairperson and deputy chairperson of the advisory board were chosen by secret ballot, and the result resulted in the selection of Salama Saif Khalifa Al-Tunaiji from Umm Al-Quwain as chairman of the council, and Haitham Mohammed Rashid Al-Kindi from the Emirate of Fujairah as vice president. Several committees were also formed to study and express opinion on the projects, topics and agreements presented. And programs related to childhood, its care, development, protection, and the preparation of reports on it, which are presented to the Council in its plenary sessions for discussion and making recommendations regarding them.
